R.I.P. Les Paul

Guitarist Les Paul passed away yesterday. Many younger players may not be familiar with him outside of the association with the Gibson Les Paul, but without him, music would likely be very different. In addition to being a guitarist, he was instrumental in developing multitrack recording technology and solid-body electric guitars.

Gibson has a tribute to Les Paul on their site with a biography and comments about Paul from musicians including Slash, Satriani, and others.
